Death Force

Having won a copy of this book, I will start by saying this is not my usual fare at all, so I was expecting to try a few pages and leave it lying around for my partner to read instead. Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed it! Perhaps the book would have benefitted from the author concentrating on fewer characters, and I have no idea if the military information is accurate or pure fantasy, but while there is not much in the way of characterisation or scene description, the plot is suitably outrageous and cracks along at a good pace. The peril is just the wrong side of believable but the book is a fun way to pass a few hours!
