Derek Jacobi, who played The Master in the Doctor Who episode 'Utopia', reads Peter Ling's complete and unabridged novelisation, first published by Target Books in 1986.
Derek Jacobi's narration adds a certain gravitas to this surreal alt-reality tale of storybook characters interacting with the Doctor and his two companions. I loved the concept, although did feel it took too long to actually get going. Once underway, however, this is an entertaining listen and it was fun trying to recognise all the other storybook characters as they appeared.
