Nothing interferes with Shane Hollander's game - definitely not the sexy rival he loves to hate.

Pro hockey star Shane Hollander isn't just crazy talented, he's got a spotless reputation. Hockey is his life. Now that he's captain of the Montreal Voyageurs, he won't let anything jeopardize that, especially the sexy Russian whose hard body keeps him awake at night.

Boston Bears captain Ilya Rozanov is everything Shane's not. The self-proclaimed king of the ice, he's as cocky as he is talented. No one can beat him - except Shane. They've made a career on their legendary rivalry, but when the skates come off, the heat between them is undeniable. May 14, 2026 I can't believe I forgot to write a review of this when I finished it five months ago. Sorry but I'm going to phone it in.

You all know what this book is about, I'm not going to write a summary of it.

Listen, sue me. I grade M/M romance written by women on a curve. Is this authentic? No. But is it good representation? Also no. But did it do harm? Not at all! So props for adding to the canon of beloved queer media and normalizing fun, gay romances on page and on screen. If this were written by a gay man, I'd be more critical of it, but it wasn't so I have to give credit for writing outside the author's wheelhouse.

As for the technicals, I found the pacing of this to be weird. Repetitive in a lot of ways, but not tiresome. …

No seriously, the Canadian hockey erotica is good

I'm a weird Canadian that don't care for hockey, so I was surprised when the hockey yaoi hooked me in. It's a compelling, horny, and memorable read. Read it after seeing the first five episodes of the TV show and was impressed at how close an adaptation the TV show is! It's lovely to have gay erotica that feels so unashamedly gay.
